Lunati LS Cam Giveaway: Week 1 Winner Announced, Still One Week Left

The Lunati Great Cam Giveaway contest continues on powerTV as we announce our first LSXMag winner. If you didn’t win this week, don’t worry because we will be accepting entries for the second LS giveaway until April 19th at 2 PM PST. All you need to do is go to Lunati’s Facebook Page and write why YOU deserve to win a Lunati cam, and what camshaft YOU want… plus don’t forget to post pictures of the project!

This Week’s Winner: Mike Haab

This week’s winner, Mike Haab, brings us a story of a pair of brothers brought together by a LS project that shows that it’s not the years in your life that count – it’s the life in your years. Here’s Mike’s story:

My Brother and I are building an 05 GTO as a daily driver for him. This project is important to us because this is probably the last car he will ever be able to drive. He probably wont be able to drive very much longer. He was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disorder called Huntingtons Disease a couple years ago. We have put a ton of work into this car and occasionally take it the dragstrip for some fun. I just installed a Procharger D1SC system on it and we are awaiting the dyno/tune results. I think with a Lunati 20540723 cam we could make a ton more power. Thank you for doing this contest. It’s really great to see companies giving back to their customer base!

Mike’s Cam – PN 60523
Lunati’s Voodoo series of camshafts deliver more area under the curve than any other series of camshafts. This means more throttle response, quicker acceleration, more vacuum and better efficiency. These factors, combined with maximum horsepower and torque, make Voodoo camshafts the perfect choice for a wide range of high performance applications. Fair idle, strong bottom and mid range, works with small nitrous kit or up to 8 psi of boost.

Previous Week’s Winner – Travis Murphy

We can’t sum up Travis Murphy’s story better than he can, so here you go: “After going through a divorce last year, I came really close to selling my prized 2000 Camaro Z28 to pay off some bills as well as have money for a place of my own.”

“This was my plan until I met my amazing girlfriend. She reminded me of how much my Camaro actually means to me and how much I would miss cruising with my dad on the weekends. He has a 2000 Camaro SS, so the Camaros are one of our few bonding things we do together.”

“She also made me realize that I’m not alone and that I need to keep it and enjoy it. Since then, I have found a new love for my Camaro and am now planning on fixing it up the way I always have been wanting to. Of course, starting a new life and trying to save for a house puts a limit on what I can spend on my Camaro, so it would be nice to win this cam and maybe then I could keep up with my Dad on the weekends. My car is more than that to me; it’s a passion my father and I both share and are able to do things together with and bring us closer.”

If we could, we would personally hand Travis his brand-new LS1 Street Strip hydraulic roller (PT#55004LUN).

The Lunati/powerTV “Great Cam Giveaway” is still going strong! This massive three-month-long contest is giving away 30 camshafts over the next 90 days, so you’ve got plenty of time to enter to win!
