2018 CTS-V Gets New Infotainment System & Two New Paint Colors

The Cadillac CTS-V is the fastest and most powerful car ever produced from its brand, giving cars twice its price a run for their money, while still hauling the kids around in the backseat.

If it were up to us, we can’t think of much we’d change– but, for the 2018 model year, Cadillac had just a few minor upgrades and updates in mind.

First, they did away with the glovebox-mounted CD drive and axed two exterior paint colors; Radiant Silver Metallic and Stellar Black Metallic. But don’t worry, they’re being replaced with fresh new options, Satin Steel Metallic and Vector Blue Metallic– which we both actually really dig.

The new Satin Steel Metallic and Vector Blue Metallic (as seen on the AST-V) exterior colors.

What seems to be the only semi-bad news is the scrapping of the gorgeous Carbon Black Package [4] that was introduced just last year. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a more stealthy look, there’s always the option to throw on some dark-colored aftermarket wheels, black-out the grille, and call it a day.

Our favorite addition coming for the 2018 CTS-V, though, is the brand spankin’ new third-generation CUE infotainment system. In short, it’s a completely redesigned user experience– featuring cloud-based personalized driver profiles, a streamlined navigation app, a 4G-LTE hotspot, and more.

And, if the new CUE 3 wasn’t already enough for the interior upgrades, Cadillac decided heated steering wheels are totally 2017 and is introducing automatic heated steering wheels. They will be designed to adjust temperature based on information received from the heated seats and air temperature.

Pretty fancy, huh? We dig it– but unfortunately, all the aforementioned updates are currently only confirmed for the United States market.
