45th Anniversary Camaro Shows at Camaro5 Fest

[1]

This past weekend saw the culmination of months of effort by the folks over at Camaro5.com [2]as the second Annual Camaro5 Fest took place in Chandler, Arizona.

[3]Well over 400 cars showed up and the event was well-supported by sponsors and General Motors as well. Previously announced, the 45th Anniversary special edition Camaro was seen in public for the first time and well documented visually by those attending.

The event also provided attendees with the chance to get up close and personal with a ZL1 Camaro prototype. The weather was a lot better than in Chicago, where the ZL1 was first announced and a few more details have emerged in the photos taken there. Whether or not these are locked-in features is uncertain at this point; Chevrolet may be market testing enthusiast reaction.

The three day event would have been a cognitive blowout for any Camaro enthusiast, even before these special cars arrived. That Chevrolet chose to jump on board with the organizers, along with many other supporting companies, is high praise indeed for the folks at Camaro5.com. Congratulations on what looks like a hugely successful event.

Available on 2012 Camaros, the 45th Anniversary package includes Carbon Flash Metallic paint, newly designed 20-inch wheels, RS-style tail lamps, HID headlights and rear spoiler. Inside a is black leather interior with 45th Anniversary logo and red, white and blue stitching on the seats, steering wheel, shift knob/boot, door armrests and console lid. The distinctive red and silver rally stripe sets off the special paint very nicely. Check out the gallery for more details.
