A 4^th generation Camaro was found fully engulfed in flames near the Arkansas River in Tulsa, OK on May 13^th, 2012. Unfortunately, firefighters arrived too late to save the poor Camaro from complete and utter destruction. KOTV.com reported that firefighters arrived at the parking lot near the river near 5am, but the car was already too far-gone to save. Tulsa Fire Captain Rick Blevins said, “”It burned long enough that it ruptured the gas tank and started dumping all the fuel, so it takes a little longer to put it out.” Whether or not this was the act of firebug, an unlucky incident or intentional remains unclear at this point. When KOTV.com asked Blevins if this fire was suspicious, he stated that other the circumstances of fire it was not overtly suspicious.

Sarcasm aside, finding a 4^th generation Camaro fully engulfed in flames all-alone in parking lot at 5am on Sunday seems a bit odd. What’s even more disturbing is that this Camaro fire could be part of a string of arsons in the area. Blevins stated this melted Camaro was found near the scene of other recent vehicle fires; he stated that the Camaro was found approximately a quarter-mile from the location of other recent vehicle fires. Whether or not this is the work of an arsonist, insurance fraud or just a really suspicious coincidence, the fire is still being investigated. From the video it appears that the 4^th gen Camaro may have been a V6 convertible, but what is for sure is that the car is a total loss and its pretty disturbing to see the fiery carcass of a Camaro.
