Last Saturday, San Bernardino, California played host to an event called the California Truck Invasion, which identifies itself as a “truck and burnout show.” And if you know anything about the Southern California street truck scene, you know they can be quite the rowdy bunch.
Videos from the event are popping up all over social media and, from what it looks like, the event broke out into a full-on, free-for-all, drift-a-palooza. Brave attendees lined the walls and barriers of the track to snap pictures while dozens of cars and trucks hooned around them. Yes, its super unsafe but, on the bright side, we’re sure it made for some pretty badass shots.
As expected, things went south fairly quickly. Ironically, however, It wasn’t a truck–or more shockingly, a Mustang–that ruined the show for everyone this time. Sadly, it was a GTO and fourth-gen Camaro that kicked off these Mustang-like activities, with the Camaro running into one of the barriers, completely knocking off a guy taking photos, and launching his phone into the air. Then, as the Camaro attempts to limp away–for some reason onto the oval, the second car runs right into him. Multiple people surrounded the new accident, but everyone else continued to carelessly drift around without a care in the world. You would think it would be time to go home by then, but nope.
As if the insane drifting and accidents wasn’t enough drama for those who attended, a full-on brawl also took place in the parking lot. You stay classy, San Bernardino.
