Everything You Need To Know About The 2018 Corvette

We are quickly approaching the next generation of America’s favorite sports car. Here at the office, we impatiently waited for news from the annual Corvette Seminar at the NCM Bash, knowing we would get some more information on the somewhat elusive 2018 model year.

Even though the cat’s out of the bag regarding the ZR1–except what’s under the hood– GM has continued to play dumb. They did announce many things we already know (like the Carbon 65 package, the plant closure, etc) along with some other changes and options.

All 2018 Models

Good news: The Sterling Blue exterior color is thrown out and replaced with Ceramic Matrix Grey and all Jet Black suede interior packages now come with a plethora of carbon fiber accents. 3LT/3LZ interiors are now available in Spice Red and have new red, yellow, and blue stitching color options. Convertible tops can also be sporting the same red.

All 2018 models come standard with a high-def digital radio, improved rear view camera, enhanced HUD, and the Cosworth Toolbox channels in the PDR (including individual wheel speeds, suspension displacements, yaw rate, air intake temperature, and ambient air temperature).

Changes to the 2018 Stingray

The Stingray’s wheels are upgraded in size, to 19-inch diameter in the front and 20-inch in the rear– They will be offered in five new designs and wrapped in summer performance tires. The interior colors will be broken up differently and magnetic ride control will be offered as a separate option.

The coupe will have a starting MSRP of $55,495, the convertible: $59,495. The Z51 package bumps those prices up to $60,495 and $64,495.

Changes to the 2018 Grand Sport

For the first time, Ceramic brakes will be offered without the purchase of the Z07 package. The Grand Sport has plenty of aesthetic changes– but, trust us, they’re all great. Starting prices will range from around $65 to $70k.
