Hooker Releases BlackHeart 2016-17 Chevrolet Camaro Exhaust Systems

New from Hooker – the BlackHeart 2016-17 Chevrolet Camaro Exhaust Systems. These systems are available in a variety of configurations that sound great and make more power. See more details below.

Official Release:

For 6.2L V8 applications, there are single and double-transverse Dual-Mode Axle-Back packages with quad tips that deliver noticeable improvements in both horsepower and torque for both manual and automatic cars. These exhausts produce dyno gains of up to 15 horsepower and about 21 lb. ft. of torque at the rear wheels. Made of lightweight mandrel-bent 18-gauge 304 stainless steel, these systems feature built-in exhaust valves for smooth, enjoyable highway driving and a more aggressive race-inspired tone for the racetrack. The factory dual-mode electronic exhaust-valve actuators bolt right up without any modifications or fabrication required, and the entire system uses factory mounting points for a fast, easy installation and maximum ground clearance. Twp types of headers are available for 6.2L V8s – a tri-y shorty and race-only 4-into-1 long-tube (available with 1 7/8” primaries or 2” primaries) – both types of headers feature mandrel-bent stainless steel construction.

Complete axle-back non-NPP exhaust systems are also available for sixth generation Camaros in a slew of different configurations and are all road legal. They’re offered with mufflers and without, for both manual and automatic transmission applications. All feature corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, use factory mounting points for ease of installation, offer maximum ground clearance, and create significant gains in both power and torque.

We offer both the single and double-transverse models with larger diameter piping full exhaust kits for race-onlyapplications. With these systems, more than 23 horsepower and 30 lb. ft. of torque are gained. Made of lightweight 18-gauge stainless steel construction, they’re 24 pounds lighter that OE exhaust (non-muffler design) and a full 20 pounds lighter than stock exhausts with mufflers.

For new turbocharged I4 Camaros, there are cat-back systems (available both with and without mufflers), axle-back systems (with and without mufflers), and, for race-only engines, down pipes that are available for both catalytic converter and non-catalytic-converter applications. The cat-back system with mufflers adds 14.94 horsepower and 21.97 lb. ft. of torque while the non-muffled cat-back adds 15.31 horsepower and 22.33 lb. ft. of torque. Axle-backs can add up to 10.8 horsepower and 15.26 lb. ft. or torque. Each of these systems feature mandrel-bent hand-welded 304 stainless steel construction, offer a huge weight savings, and deliver significant increases in both power and torque. Each type bolts right to factory exhaust and uses stock mounting points for perfect fitment with absolutely no fabrication required whatsoever.

For 3.6L V6s, both systems (muffled and non-muffled) produced dyno gains of up to almost 4 horsepower and 8 foot-pounds of torque. Made of lightweight 18-gauge 304 stainless steel for maximum strength and durability, these 2.5” axle-back exhaust systems are also a perfect fit for I4 2016-17 Camaros. They employ factory mounting points for a hassle-free installation and offer a 19-pound (61%) weight savings over factory exhausts and a full 10 pounds for the high-flow straight-through muffler designs. Both feature advanced tube geometry for optimum ground clearance and 4″ dual-wall angle-cut stainless steel tips with a laser-etched Hooker BlackHeart logo.

Features:

  • Products available for factory NPP (Dual Mode) vehicles with either Single or Dual Transverse muffler configurations to allow you to get the exhaust tone you’re looking for
  • Options for Active Fuel Management (AFM) vehicles with and without built-in AFM valves
  • Race-only longtube headers as well as shorty headers available for both race and street driven vehicles
  • Mid-pipes available to convert axle-back kits to full race exhaust systems
  • A variety of exhaust products for better performance, sound, and weight savings over OE exhaust.
