Official Release:

Southern Performance Systems has revolutionized engine buying with their LS turnkey, custom Connect and Drive Powertrain Systems. The Southern Performance Connect and Drive Powertrain Systems include all the basic engine and transmission powertrain components at an affordable price. The packages include: crate engine, automatic or manual transmission (with torque convertor or clutch setup), fuel injection management harness, pre-programmed factory GM electronic control modules, DBW throttle pedal, Mass air flow meter, oxygen sensors, all bolts required for the assembly of the engine and transmission and the correct oil pan for the application.

Current packages include:

  • Connect & Drive LS3 – 430 HP
  • Connect & Drive LS3 – 480 HP
  • Connect & Drive LS3 – 535 HP
  • Connect & Drive LS3 – 560 HP
  • Connect & Drive LSA – 580 HP
  • Connect & Drive LS3 Supercharged
  • Connect & Drive LS7 – 505 HP
  • Connect & Drive LT1 (Gen V)
  • Connect & Drive LT4 (Gen V)

“We started offering these truly turnkey packages based on customer feedback that they wanted a complete system that all worked together right out of the crate. We use a management harness that controls both engine and trans as one unit. We incorporated GM factory computers that are programmed together to work together just like the factory vehicles.
