Yes, the rumors are true: in Vegas, 50 bucks could fulfill all of your dreams (or, at least, all of our dreams). But before you go running off to the slot machines, let’s clarify that we’re talking about cars, here – namely, a C7 Z06.
As of last month, SpeedVegas has been offering what it claims to be Vegas’s ultimate driving experience. Settled right off of Las Vegas Boulevard, the company will essentially let you rent a track-day experience; choose your favorite flavor of dream-car – from the aforementioned Z06, to a Porsche 911 GT3, to a Ferrari 458 – and it’s all yours to fling around the one-and-a-half-mile track.
But of course, we couldn’t care less about the imported exotics – we’d be head straight to the ‘Vette. And for just $49 a lap, it wouldn’t be too hard to do. Of course, there is a four-lap minimum, which means you’re looking at just shy of $200 for your date with the Z06.
Your 200 bucks includes both a track helmet and a professional driving instructor in the passenger seat (not to mention the fulfilled dreams). Like in every video game you’ve ever played or every childhood fantasy you’ve ever had, you’ll have the most powerful Corvette ever produced at your disposal – unbound by speed limits, poor road conditions, or backed-up traffic.
Even for those who do own a C7 Z06, the opportunity to take one to a track and drive it how the General intended is a rare privilege. Things like track availability, track day cost and the ever-present worry that you’ll ding your beloved Corvette get in the way of many Z06-owners taking their own machine around a road course. SpeedVegas, however, can give you that coveted track exerience, minus the inhibitions of harming your car and for the same price – if not, cheaper – than many other public tracks.
Counter-intuitive though it may be, we’d put Vegas on the map for your next family vacation. Check out the SpeedVegas website for all the details on their cars driving packages.
