Flaco and his drag truck are somewhat famous in the world of drag racing, having appeared multiple times on Street Outlaws–though he was never fast enough to make the list–as well as 1320Video’s YouTube. So you may have already heard of him, but if you haven’t, well… here’s a little background on his crazy build.
The truck was built by the owner and driver’s shop, Flaco’s Performance and Tuning, in Pasadena, Texas, which specializes in high-performance LSXs. This specialization becomes apparent in the video, as you watch Flaco’s truck, “Cornfed 2.0” in action. The 1,800 horsepower beast is housing a 427 cubic inch LSX under the hood sporting twin 85 mm turbos.
According to Flaco, the truck is returning after receiving some weigh-saving modifications including the removal of both the radiator and the intercooler, making it faster than ever and perhaps ready for another shot at the list perhaps?
1320Video recently spotted the truck and caught up with Flaco at the Winter Meltdown No-prep event at Edinburg Motorsports Park. He updated us and explained the infamous Cornfed 2.0 is actually not on corn anymore and is running straight alcohol, but he has no plans of changing its name. Phew!
Flaco ran two classes that night, a “King of the Tailgate” Final where he spun against Jackie in the Sonoma, and a 29 inch tire class in which he won $10,000.
