Tim Stevens and Alex Goy from Road Show [1] are back at it again with yet another great head-to-head shootout video– this time hitting the track with the Corvette Grand Sport and the Jaguar F-Type SVR; two cars that are extremely different, yet extremely alike. The most notable of those differences being the price tags– there’s a $62,000 difference in price, to be exact. So, the real question is: is the Jag’ really worth almost double the ‘Vette?

The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
Well, we all know the Corvette, especially the Grand Sport, performs great on the track and, yet again we were reassured by this video. But, the Jaguar is pushing over 100 more horsepower and is putting that power to the ground with all four wheels. So that $62k gets you all-wheel drive, more power, and some fancier aesthetic pieces. Whoop-de-frickin’-do.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR
After driving them around and checking these two babies out, Tim and Alex claim if money wasn’t an issue, they ultimately would choose the F-Type over the Grand Sport because, “it’s more refined, more attractive and, at the end of the day, just a bit more special.”
Sorry, but we just have to disagree– while of course both are rocking V8s, the Grand Sport just has that feeling of raw power that the F-Type is obviously lacking. Not to mention the fact that at this price and power level, the Jaguar should will more likely be going head-to-head with the veritable Z06–a fight that it would most definitely lose. We might be a little bias, but we’re pretty sure the Corvette will almost always be the winner in our eyes, no matter what it’s up against.
