Apparently Rob Dyrdek doesn’t just like using Chevrolets for crazy stunts, like when he recently “kick-flipped” a Chevy Sonic, but he also is into using classic Chevy Muscle as daily drivers. This Pro-Touring 1969 Camaro was built for Dyrdek by All Speed Customs out of Muskegon, Michigan for use as “the ultimate daily cruiser.”
We found this video from All Speed Customs that gives us a walk-around of the Dyrdek Camaro, and much to our surprise the car isn’t decked out in 80’s neon colors, or tagged up with graffiti like a pair of DC Shoes. Rather it is a business-like deep black, and the only real craziness going on is with the wheels and their powder coated red centers. Even under the hood there isn’t much “Ridiculousness” doing on, just a very clean fuel injected LS swap that they claim makes 400 horsepower, and a 4L60E automatic overdrive trans.
The car does feature a full coilover suspension from Ridetech and a Detroit Speed mini-tub to fit some mondo meats. Wilwood brakes haul those big rollers to a stop, and Autometer carbon fiber gauges will help Dyrdek keep an eye on things, while a Vintage Air A/C system will keep him nice and cool on those hot California summer days.
It’s a quintessential Pro-Touring ride. The guys from All Speed say, “Basically the owner can just get in and drive anywhere he wants to drive. It will handle better than most modern cars, but yet it still has the cool retro look of the ’69 Camaro.”
