Video: Why Use ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant

When you’re assembling vital and high-stress components, fasteners need to fall within a prescribed toque spec to ensure repeatability and reliability. Not only can nuts and bolts loosen or back off of a critical part but having an inconsistent torque spread can pull precision parts out of alignment, create warpage and even lead to failures.

Consider the head studs, rod caps, or main caps in an engine, these are the most highly stressed pieces of hardware in an engine and they create sealing surfaces, maintain bearing journal clearances and more. If you don’t know how consistent your torque settings are, you need to re-evaluate.
