Heidts Releases Independent Rear Suspension For 4th Gen F-Bodies

New from Heidts – the Independent Rear Suspension System for 4th Gen F-bodies. This easy to install kit provides more grip and a flatter ride through corners. See more details below.

Official Release:

Heidts Hot Rod & Muscle Car Parts has developed an all-new independent rear suspension (IRS) system for the 1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird. This is the first and only IRS built specifically for the fourth generation, F-body platform.

The PRO-G IRS (part number IRC-401) is available in both 500 horsepower and 800 horsepower configurations and available with the stock 65-inch track width or a narrower 62-inch track width. Either system installs quickly and easily as the saddles are designed to line up perfectly with the frame and bolt in. The Heidts PRO-G IRS includes options for C4 rotors and calipers or upgraded Wilwood brakes along with a 9” Currie 3rd member and three or four channel ABS hubs.

The standard kit comes with a cradle, CV Shafts, tubular control arms, steering arm and billet adjustable coilover shocks and springs, with the brake packages as optional extras. This translates to more grip, a flatter ride through corners and the performance to bring your Camaro’s handling capabilities to the next level. The kit is usable both on and off the track, meaning you won’t need a trailer to take it racing.

Features:

  • First and only IRS built specifically for the fourth generation F-body
