SEMA 2016: Edelbrock Ups The Game In Fuel And Spark Delivery

IMG_0656

It’s no secret that Edelbrock is a go-to provider for all things performance, and at this year’s SEMA show, their innovative new products gave notice as to why that is. While their intake manifolds are a staple in the automotive industry, August Cederstrand of Edelbrock was excited to tell us about their all new line of spark plug wires. According to August, “We figured it was a natural extension for us to offer plug wires since our EFI kits come with a distributor. We have two versions available, one is the black, Ultra 500 wire designed for the guy needing a quality set of wires for his stock or mildly-modified street car, while the red Ultra 50 is for those higher horsepower street and drag race guys. Both are an 8.5 mm wire.” Even if you are not running an Edelbrock intake or EFI unit, the plug wires would be a great upgrade to you ride.

If you need plug wires, Edelbrock can now help.

For those of you contemplating an EFI upgrade to your classic ride, Edelbrock surprised us with their new Pro-Flo III system. August said, “When we released our E-Street TBI system, it wasn’t long before we asked, ‘what’s the next logical leap?’ For us, that was multiport EFI.

We already make manifolds, and now we offer a self-tuning, self-learning, sequential, multiport EFI. Adding Pro-Flo III EFI to your formerly-carbureted ride makes the driving experience seem like you’re behind the wheel of a new car.”

We asked August if Edelbrock felt this new fuel injection was more suited to street or racecars, and he said, “yes… It will be right at home on either style car.” Currently, only a self-learning version is available, but he assured us that a tunable system is on the way.

If you need a way to get high pressure fuel to your EFI, Edelbrock has you covered.

For you guys that are running an aftermarket EFI and need a way to deliver high pressure fuel to the engine, Edelbrock has released a new EFI universal sump kit. We all know they introduced a universal sump several years ago, but this new version delivers improved features in a smaller, yet powerful package. According to August, this new sump comes with dual fuel floats, and even a boost-referenced regulator port for you guys pressurizing your intake charge.

Whether you’re working on a fuel system or now spark delivery, Edelbrock has the products to help get the job done.
