SEMA 2022: AFR Showcases 210cc LS1 Enforcer Cylinder Heads

History will show plenty of junkyard LS engines running around out there, but you won’t find serious horsepower just laying around the oil-soaked aisles of a boneyard. When it’s time to go inside that engine and put some thumpin’ power parts into the build, names like Air Flow Research instantly bubble to the top.

While we were at SEMA, we spoke to Tim Torrecarion, who gave us a first-hand introduction to AFR’s new 210cc LS1 Enforcer cylinder heads. The Enforcer line of heads is an as-cast offering that comes fully assembled and is the perfect choice for anyone looking to upgrade to aluminum performance heads featuring modern port designs and a litany of quality components.

The Enforcer line features as-cast surfaces on the intake runners, exhaust ports, and combustion chambers, and the 210cc LS1-based Enforcer has those oh-so-LS cathedral ports. All ports are located in the OEM locations. As such, the 210cc LS Enforcer heads are an excellent option for those 3.780-inch bore OEM engines operating below 6,300 rpm.

Those cathedral intake ports, exhaust ports, and combustion chambers all wear an as-cast finish and are located precisely where the General designed them.

The heads are sold individually and come preassembled with all the high-quality components you’d find in AFR’s higher-end CNC-ported cylinder heads. You’ll find PAC racing springs, Viton valve seals, and machined-bead valve locks (not stamped). One-piece, 8mm stainless steel valves are also included. For those DIY types, head castings are available without any components and ready for your selected parts.

Heads are available complete with valves and springs or as bare castings for those DIY types.

The folks at Air Flow Research have been building performance for over 50 years and utilize the most current technology to keep their products ahead of the pack. Check out AFR’s Enforcer line of cylinder heads for a cost-conscious option with serious upgrades over those factory components.
