Hooker Introduces New Blackheart Products For C6 and C7 Corvettes

Holley recently announced a new line of Hooker Blackheart exhaust products for the C6 and C7 Corvette. These products are made in the Holley/Hooker facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, earning them the “Made in the USA” stamp of approval. All Hooker Blackheart exhaust products carry a limited lifetime warranty.

There are two new Hooker Blackheart Exhaust Systems for C6 Corvettes in this announcement. The Hooker Blackheart C6 Z06 longtube racing headers are made with 1-7/8 primaries and three inch long transition collectors. These collectors feature merge spears to ensure maximum flow and increased exhaust velocity for performance gains of up to 14 horsepower. It must be noted that these headers are not legal for street use in most states.

For those that want a more radical application, Holley introduces the Hooker Blackheart Tri-Y longtube headers. The four pipes from the exhaust flange feed into two pipes which then feeds into a single collector. These headers feature an enlarged two inch primary that feeds into a 2 ¼ inch secondary. This larger secondary feeds into a three inch collector. These headers were specifically designed for racing use and are not legal for street use.

The new headers for the C7 Corvette are shorty header that features primaries that are 1 7/8 inches. The unique four into one collector of the shorty header offers excellent scavenging and a compact design. These bolt right up to the factory exhaust. This new design is up to 19 pounds lighter than the stock manifolds that are cast-iron. These are proven on the dyno to deliver gains of 12 pound-feet of torque and 14 horsepower. These headers are 50 state approved for street use.

All Hooker Blackheart products are constructed out of 18-gauge 304 stainless steel and hand-welded to provide extra strength, good looks, and longevity. The tube geometry of these products offers maximum ground clearance and an installation that’s free of hassles that utilizes the factory exhaust hangers.

The flanges used in all Blackheart headers are 3/8 inch thick and precision cut using water jets. The welds at the flanges are all hand-blended to provide for optimal entry flow and increased performance. All necessary hardware for installation is included. Also included are extension harnesses for the oxygen sensors.

They are available complete or with no mufflers. Complete systems offer high-flow straight through mufflers, as well as dual mode mufflers that make use of the GM factory NPP valve actuator. The four inch 304 stainless steel tips are polished dual wall and laser etched with the Blackheart logo.

The dual mode mufflers that are available with the Hooker Blackheart exhaust systems are specifically designed for the C6 and C7 platforms as part of a complete exhaust program. When the NPP valve is closed, the mufflers deliver an exhaust note that throaty and pealing to the ear. When the valve is opened, an aggressive race attitude is displayed.
