Cool cars, awesome people, winding roads and killer scenery are just a few things you missed out on if you could not attend the LSX Magazine Valley of Fire Cruise this year.

In years past for the cruise, we drove to the Hoover Dam. We were forced to switch it up some this year due to construction, security, and an earlier dam closing time. While it was a little more work on our end to plan a new route, we were rewarded with another great scenic drive, but this time it was through the desert of Nevada. There was no traffic, no construction, no distractions, and no Las Vegas to deal with, just the open and winding road through the Fire Valley State Park. The scenery in this park is absolutely breathtaking and offered several areas for photos for participants which we took full advantage of too.

For 2019 we had over 62 awesome cars participate which is a fantastic increase over the 30 some odd cars we had for 2018. We also had people from all of the United States and a few Canadians enjoying the drive. Being out on the open road was a much-needed break from our busy schedules plus it was great to see some old friends while making new ones.

We wanted to give a shoutout to Josh Wojciechowski, Lance Freitas, Mads Buck, Ty Cobb, and Vinny Costa for helping us with this great event. Without them, it certainly would not have gone as smooth as it did — we only got run off by the police once this year! We would also like to thank Blane Burnett, Bill Tichenor, and the entire Holley Team for allowing us to have such a great event in conjunction with Holly’s LS Fest West.

If you were not able to join us in 2019 for the LSX Magazine Valley of Fire Cruise, we hope that you will in 2020. As always, it will be the day before LS Fest West kicks off so be sure and make plans now. It’s a great time, and you will be glad you came.
