COMP Cams Releases DOD Delete Kit For LS Engines

New from COMP Cams – the DOD Delete Kit for LS engines. This kit will get rid of Displacement On Demand technology and includes everything you need to get the job done. See more details below.

Official Release:

New COMP Cams® DOD Delete Kits allow for removal of the Displacement on Demand/Active Fuel Management System on Gen IV 5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L GM LS engines.

The kits are available in three different levels, each containing components needed to remove the systems that disable four engine cylinders under light-load conditions to improve fuel economy, but also limit performance in the process. A Premium kit includes lifter trays, head gaskets and bolt kit, exhaust gaskets, harmonic balancer bolt, LS3 valley cover, timing cover gasket and seal, water pump gaskets and 16 OE-style drop-in lifters — everything needed to complete the job. Basic and Standard kits do not include exhaust gaskets, harmonic balancer bolt, timing cover gasket and seal or water pump gaskets. Additionally, the Basic kit comes with only 8 lifters, to replace those in DOD/AFM-affected cylinders.

Features:

  • Remove the Displacement on Demand/Active Fuel Management System on Gen IV GM LS engines
  • Maintain engine performance under light load
  • Available with or without exhaust gaskets, harmonic balancer bolt, timing cover gasket and seal and water pump gaskets
  • Kits come with 16 or 8 OE-style drop-in lifters
