Corvette Z06 Dealer Tour Coming To A Close

On August 2, 2022, Chevrolet’s C8 Z06 Corvette Dealer Tour made one of its final stops at Coughlin Chevrolet in Pataskala, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. The tour began in March of 2022 and had a schedule of 70 stops over the next six months. The tour comes to an end this August 2022. Over the six-month period, the tour team has traveled to dealerships located over the entire continental United States before meeting up with the anxious enthusiasts at Coughlin Chevrolet.

The Corvettes toured the country in this enclosed trailer. The tour team fired the Z06 and rolled it right into Coughlin Chevrolet’s showroom.

Coughlin Chevrolet was founded in 1991 by Al and Mike Coughlin and has received Chevrolet’s Mark of Excellence Award multiple times, as well as the BBB’s Torch Award of Ethics. When it comes to Corvettes, Coughlin was number eight on the Top National Corvette Dealers List of 2021. Coughlin’s success is in large part attributed to General Manager, John Riley, and the professional Corvette Sales Team, which includes Corvette Marketing Representative Mark Thomas, a lifelong Corvette enthusiast and owner. Coughlin is also a strong contributor to the community, supporting local police and fire safety forces, charitable organizations, and local Corvette clubs that hold their meetings at the dealership.

Our tour team was made up of four members, Adam, Bogdan, Darlene, and Corey.

A Display Of Force

A large gathering of Corvette enthusiasts, some from as far away as neighboring states, were present at the dealership for the 10:00 am opening of the tour. The highlight, of course, was the Accelerate Yellow C8 Z06 with black interior and carbon trim, GT3 seats, carbon fiber wheels, and yellow caliper ceramic brakes, which made an absolutely stunning appearance. The tour also featured customer informative displays of C8 Z06 options. These displays included:

  • Body and brake caliper colors
  • Carbon fiber components
  • Cutaways of wheel and tire choices
  • Optional GT2 and GT3 seats

The Z06 was started when it was unloaded from the trailer into the dealership showroom at the beginning of the tour and when it was removed from the showroom to be loaded back into the trailer at the end of the event. Everyone that was present at either time was blown away when the ignition was pressed, and the flat-plane, 32-valve, DOHC LT6 V8 came to life. It produced an exhaust note that silenced the crowd and was chilling to the bone. Without a doubt, it can be said that the C8 Z06 is Zora’s dream come true.

The tour informs potential buyers of the various color selections available and gives them opportunity to feel and see each component up close and personal.

I would highly recommend that anyone interested in Corvettes attends one of the remaining C8 Z06 dealer tours that come to your area, or you can check out both the Z06 and the Stingray at the upcoming Corvettes at Carlisle event scheduled for the 25th through the 27th of this month. Go to the Corvettes at Carlisle webpage for more information, or check with your local Chevrolet dealer to see if they have a spot as one of the remaining Z06 dealer tours.
