Today, Chevrolet announced the upcoming availability of a sixth-gen Camaro Hot Wheels edition. The car celebrates 50 years of collaboration between Hot Wheels and Chevrolet and comes bathed in a rather eye-catching color of orange they are calling “Crush.”

The color is supposedly to pay tribute to the orange colored tracks that Hot Wheels famously travel, though we think it looks a lot like Grabber Orange. Either way, it looks pretty freaking cool and will only be available on the Hot Wheels edition Camaro. The $4,995 package is available for both 2LT and 2SS models in either convertible or coupe and will be available in the first quarter of 2018.

Chevrolet and Hot Wheels revealed the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition, celebrating 50 years of partnership, performance innovation and design. The commemorative package pays homage to iconic Hot Wheels features including a Crush exterior color and stripes that replicate the toys’ famous orange tracks.

According to GM, only 2,500 examples will be produced, making it a rare collectors’ Hot Wheels indeed. The car also pays homage to the original release of Hot Wheels’ very first release of toys, in which they built 16 different models of cars—one of which was a ’67 Camaro.

“In the 1960s Hot Wheels and Camaro challenged vehicle design by elevating the speed, power and performance of both die-cast and pony cars alike. For 50 years, both brands have developed high-performance cars that embody the challenger spirit,” said Chris Down, senior vice president and Global Brand GM, Hot Wheels. “We’re thrilled that fans can now experience the essence of Hot Wheels in this special edition Camaro.”

In addition to the custom “Crush” orange paint, the car will also come with the following additions:

• Satin Graphite stripes with Silver Ice Metallic accents
• Satin Graphite ground effects
• 20-inch forged aluminum wheels (with summer-only tires on SS) in Satin Graphite with milled faces and unique center caps
• 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels fender badges
• Unique grille with Galvano Chrome inserts
• Orange brake calipers
• Dark taillamps
• Black taillamp panel with the Hot Wheels emblem
• Black Chevrolet bowtie emblems
• Jet Black leather-appointed interior with exclusive orange inserts and orange accent stitching
• Orange kneepads on the doors and orange safety belts
• Embossed front-seat headrests
• 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels badge on the steering wheel
• Illuminated doorsill plates with 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels badges
• Premium carpeted floor mats with orange stitching and “ghost” stripes

Needless to say, this is one hot set of wheels and if you have the extra $5K sitting around and are looking for an investment, then look no further. And if you don’t like the car, you can probably at least enjoy the video, which is one of the coolest car spots we’ve ever seen.

The car will be on display at this year’s SEMA show if you’re among the lucky feel making the pilgrimage. And while that is all fine and well, it certainly leaves us wondering how well it does going of jumps and doing loop-de-loops? After all, that’s the ultimate test. Right?
