Instead of having to purchase your desired car, hunt down parts, and deal with all the labor in order to prototype your concept, you can simply photochop it and entertain any automotive fantasy your heart desires.

While some might grope and moan at the off-beat creation an artist comes up with, there really is no such thing as a bad rendering– it’s a way of expressing a certain aesthetic that might otherwise be entirely unthought of.

2016-02-29_18-27-34-640x377Take, for example, this mold-breaking ZR1. It probably doesn’t sit too well with diehard ‘Vette enthusiasts, but it no doubt brings a fresh perspective to the car’s image. At the very least, now we can be absolutely certain that the ZR1 looks odd with a fart-can.

Sure, had this design been made a reality– defacing an actual ZR1 in the process– it would have bordered on the sacrilegious. However, no Corvettes were harmed in the making of this image; no harm, no foul– simply a unique spin on our favorite car. And after all, this is what art is all about: expressing new ideas, new interpretations.

For this very reason, we enjoy checking out renderings like these from Iacoski Design, a Polish graphic design studio specializing in automotive graphics. Thirty year-old founder, Jacek Kolodziejczyk, states that he’s “sold his soul” to the job, and has had a passion for his craft (which he appropriately calls “virtual tuning”) for over 10 years.

His designs typically incorporate a lot of modern ‘tuner’ styling, with fairly noisy, bold aesthetics. While not quite as radical as the aforementioned ZR1 rendering, the renderings still add some serious flare to the subject.

But of course, we’re interested in his work with the Corvette. We happened across a handful of race-inspired “virtual tunes” Iacoski has produced, and we’re fans.

The renderings come off a bit cartoonish, almost, providing more of an artistic vibe to each. The time and talent put into the work is readily apparent, which helps us even better appreciate it.

But we want want to hear your opinions, as well– let us know what you think in the comments below. Also, be sure to check out the Iacoski Design website and Facebook page, as well.
