Mondays suck, but imagine how much more it would it would suck if a semi truck tipped over on your Camaro? For two drivers in Montgomery County, Tennessee their morning commute was much worse than the average Monday morning drive to work. A tractor-trailer carrying a full load of chicken feed attempted to make a right turn from US Highway 13 on to US Highway 149 when the truck turned over in the process. According to The Leaf Chronicle the truck driver, Danny Hughes, 30, of Kentucky lost control of the rig loaded with chicken feed resulting in an accident that trapped the driver of Nissan and crushing a 4th generation Camaro.
Despite a trailer and thousands of pounds of chicken feed scattered all over, Tania Burns, the driver of the black Camaro, received what authorities call minor injuries. However, 18-year-old Christina Martin, the driver of the silver Nissan, sustained critical injuries requiring her to be taken by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Martin was taken in critical but stable condition after being trapped in her vehicle for almost an hour and a half. According to NewsChannel5.com, Hughes, the driver of the truck, was uninjured in the accident but was cited for failure to exercise due care.
