Lingenfelter is a very well known name in automotive performance here in the United States. But that’s not where their notoriety ends. As Jeff at Lingenfelter shows on the Lingenfelter forum, performance enthusiasts are using the company’s speed parts as far away as Iceland. Better yet, the performance parts are being used on a fourth-generation Camaro.
The Camaro is owned by Hafsteinn Valgardsson. It is equipped with a Lingenfelter 403 CI LS2 long block engine with a 90mm FAST intake, 90mm UMI throttle body, 42-pound injectors and a Lingenfelter MAF. Other performance components on the Camaro include a Moser 9-inch rear end with 3.70 gears, boxed lower control arms and an RPM 4L65E transmission with a Vigilante 4,200 stall converter.
With its current set up, the Camaro pulls low 11-second quarter miles consistently on pump gas.
Valgardsson’s Camaro goes to show that performance American cars, running high-performance set-ups from American companies are not just for American enthusiasts. We’re excited to see that performance parts are one American-made product that gets exported worldwide.
