For those who love contests, the David Foster Foundation is giving away a limited-edition Camaro SS convertible pace car. “Hit Man” David Foster is a recording artist noted for his musical accomplishments, along with discovering artists like Celine Dion and Josh Groban. Foster’s foundation joined forces with Chevrolet and the Indianapolis 500 to raise awareness of need for organ donation and registration.  With 2011 being the year of centennial anniversary of both Chevrolet and the Indianapolis 500, it seemed sensible to partner to with a worthy and life saving cause.  According to the press release on Marketwire, this contest is aims to educate Americans about the importance of organ donation along with generating more registered donors.

Participants can enter via text message or at the foundation’s website, Beadonorsavealife.com; after entering the required information participants will be asked to make an optional donation to the foundation. There is a limit of two entries per day (through text and the website). This contest runs from March 27th through May 31st 2011; on June 7th the grand prize winner be selected from a random drawing. With more than 100,000 men, women and children in need of an organ transplant, perhaps the chance to win a Camaro pace car will entice people to learn about the importance of organ donation.
