GForce’s new axles for the sixth-gen Camaro were officially released at this year’s SEMA Show. We went to check out their exhibit and found a complete set-up, literally exactly what you would find underneath a sixth-gen.
GForce’s axles are extremely easy to install and bolt right in. You just unbolt the control arm, slide the knuckle out, leave everything else hooked up, slide the axle into the differential, tighten you’re axle nut down, and bam– you’re done.
Of course, each one is much stronger than stock–even their entry level axle, which is rated for applications up to 850 horsepower. “The entry-level axle is a great upgrade for those with mild performance upgrades,” said Chris Nichols of GForce. It includes warrantied CVs and a lifetime warranty on the bars and stubs. “Anytime there’s ever a failure or issue and they need to be rebuilt you just send them in and we rebuild them and send them out for free,” said Chris. “Simple as that.”
The upgraded axle set offered for the sixth-gen is called the “Outlaw” axle set. It is rated to a whopping 1,500 horsepower, which is more than enough for the majority of Camaro owners. It features upgraded CVs with CNC machined 100% billet machined internals. “This will give you exactly what you need–more articulation, more plunge, more spline engagement, and more strength,” Chris explained.
Undoubtedly, GForce uses top-of-the-line materials and production processes. They’re asymmetrical shafts are used to prevent a degree of wheel hop, referring to the original GM “anti wheel hop” design. This decreases harmonics in the driving line, and just this simple modification solves 50 percent or more of these issues according to GForce.
This modification is a no-brainer to us.
