The 416 cubic-inch LS short-block package is already available to customers, and comes in at less than $6,000 — an incredible price for an LS3. This is a first-ever from Katech, and allows engine builders to use a foundation capable of handling 900-plus horsepower with this brand new GM block filled with top-shelf components from the experts at Katech.

This LS3 block features a 58X Callies forged crankshaft with 4-inch stroke, Mahle forged connecting rods, Mahle forged 4.070-inch pistons, and Clevite bearings. The 10.9:1 compression ratio engine with stock LS3 chamber is perfect for any GM build.
In addition to the amazing foundation of a block, they have recently added private label wheels, ported throttle bodies, valve covers, and carbon fiber splitters. They’ve also added a notable head porting service. For only $499, you can ship these engine masters your disassembled and clean cylinder heads, and they will CNC-port them and send them back to you within a week. You really can’t beat that kind of service, especially considering the source.
