Katech Engineering, a company synonymous with championship-winning racing engines, precision engineering, and OEM development since 1977, has announced a major transition in its history. The company, based in Clinton Township, Michigan, has been acquired by Rapson Performance Group from Enginuity Power Systems. The acquisition is more than a change in ownership; it signals a commitment to preserve Katech’s rich legacy while fueling its evolution into the next generation of high-performance engineering.

Legacy Built on Championship Excellence

Founded nearly five decades ago, Katech Engineering has built its reputation at the heart of America’s most iconic performance programs. The firm’s engines and components have powered efforts in IMSA, Le Mans, SCCA, Indy, Dakar, and Grand-Am series. Most notably, Katech is known for its role in the dominant Corvette Racing program, which claimed multiple class victories at endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 24, and Sebring 12 Hours.

But the influence of Katech extends beyond the racetrack: its precision-engineered components and aftermarket solutions have been trusted by enthusiasts, builders, and OEMs worldwide. The company remains a benchmark for American performance engineering.
