Livernois Motorsports has produced some very powerful cars out of their Michigan shop just outside of Detroit, Michigan in Dearborn Heights. This would include the newly designed and very powerful Cadillac CTS-V. With 556 horsepower at the crank in factory form, the Caddy has a lot of oomph, but tipping the scales at more than two tons, all that weight tends to soak up the power.
If for some reason your 556 horsepower sports car is just not enough, Livernois Motorsports has come up with a package that was put together especially for the Cadillac CTS-V. Now if you can scrape up a whopping $61,000 for this Cadillac your already a lucky person. For an extra $16,500 you can throw on the Livernois performance package and up your horsepower level to 660 wheel horsepower and 602 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Did we mention that’s through an automatic transmission? Not too shabby.
The Livernois Motorsports package includes CNC LSA cylinder heads, custom stage 2 camshaft, 2.55” supercharger pulley, Kooks long tube headers, full Corsa exhaust with catalytic converters, cold air intake, balancer, and a high-stall converter.
After installing the kit the guys at Livernois drove the car to the track, threw down a few passes and drove it back home. It’s a very reliable car that sounds stock until you hit the gas and the beast comes alive. After getting the kinks worked out they ran a few 1.53 60-foot passes while leaving the line at idle. The best quarter mile time was 10.79 at 128 MPH.
