Back in 2010, GM came up with a simple idea for keeping the 5th-generation Camaro fresh in buyers’ minds. Every six months or so, the General would release a new special edition of the Camaro, with an emphasis on exterior looks over mechanical differences. Sure, there’s the Camaro ZL1 and 1LE, but there is also the Synergy Green, Transformers, and the latest addition talent pool, the Dusk Edition Camaro.

Yes, it turns out the “Dusk” Edition Camaro that we reported on a few months ago is indeed the real deal, and just as we thought back then, it’s another exterior enhancement package reports Camaro5.com. Not that that’s a bad thing. In fact, in the case of the Dusk Edition Camaro, it is a very, very good thing.

Offered as a $5,995 option on 2013 Camaro 2LT and 2SS models, it isn’t exactly a cheap package. That is because it combines elements of the RS package, like the LED Halo headlights, as well as new front and rear splitters. And since it is only available on upper-end Camaro models, leather trim in Mojave with yellow stitching will come standard.

What really sets the Dusk Edition apart though is that new Blue Ray Metallic finished and 21-inch Silver-painted wheels wrapped in performance rubber. V8 models with manual transmissions even get a Hurst shifter knob installed. For nearly $6,000, it isn’t exactly a cheap way to make your Camaro stand out…but fifty years down the road, it might just be rare enough to make it valuable.
