If you are looking to add more power to your car — and let’s be honest who isn’t, a set of good headers is a simple bolt-on that can free up some additional ponies. A free flowing exhaust is even more critical on modified engines with big cams, superchargers, turbochargers, and nitrous. If you are adding more air to the combustion chambers, you need to get that additional air out in order to make power. Most factory exhaust systems are sufficient on OEM vehicles, but this is not the case for the 09-15 Cadillac CTS-V.
By simply changing the exhaust manifolds on the Caddy to a set of new Hooker BlackHeart shorty headers (PN 70301316-RHKR), the Holley Performance Products team recorded a gain of 18.85 horsepower and 20.49 lb-ft of torque. The shorty headers are built out of 18-gauge 304 stainless steel that gives them maximum strength to live up to the demand of a high-performance engine. According to Hooker, these headers feature a mitered merge collectors designed to maximize exhaust velocity and scavenging while reducing any unwanted turbulence in the exhaust. The headers feature 1-7/8-inch primary tubes and are engineered for maximum performance for your CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-Liter.
Hooker wanted these headers to fit the car just as well as they perform. They succeeded, and the final design is a 100-percent bolt-on product that will replace the power robbing factory manifolds. The tube geometry is designed for a flawless installation with no modification required. They even retain the factory O2 sensors along with the stock catalytic converters.
The Hooker BlackHeart headers include all of the necessary hardware for your CTS-V and detailed instructions to guide you during the installation. Hooker also offers a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty that will cover defects in workmanship and materials if a question arises.
