Callaway Introduces B2K 35th Anniversary Package C8 Corvette

Astute enthusiasts who have been around Corvettes for any length of time are likely familiar with the Callaway B2K RPO code which turned a lowly, Tune-Ported 1987 Corvette into a ferocious torque monster. It was Callaway’s first foray into Corvettedom and the first time Chevrolet ever issued an RPO code for anything available outside of the Blue Box. Callaway has been turning Corvettes into powerfully engineered automobiles ever since using various forms of supercharging and naturally-aspirated configurations.

Thirty-five years later, Callaway and Chevrolet announce yet another RPO code designed to bring additional value to Corvette owners. Known as the B2K 35th Anniversary Edition Callaway Corvette and designated within GM as RPO code “PYC” for the 2022 production year, this combination of three letters sets in motion a joint venture much like the earlier B2K cars. The one-year-only RPO code will be bestowed upon only 35 cars. Just as in 1987, the cars will be numbered as a series and will be built by the Corvette plant and drop-shipped to Callaway’s facilities in Connecticut and California for final assembly.

Callaway’s Old Lyme facility is just one of the places owners can pick up their new Callaway C8s.

The package was engineered to complement the mid-engine Z51-equipped Stingray Corvette and includes Callaway carbon fiber aerodynamic components, a center-outlet, “Double-D” exhaust, and lightweight forged aluminum wheels. Each of the Callaway Carbon components is designed by Dr. Paul Deutschman, the designer of record for every Callaway project, starting with Project Sledgehammer in 1988.

The B2K 35th Anniversary Edition Callaway Corvette uses various Callaway-designed and manufactured carbon components to garner aero improvements as well as aesthetics. The Callaway Carbon components are designed by Dr. Paul Deutschman, designer of Callaway's creations since 1988.

Inside, a trio of CNC-machined throttle, brake, and dead-pedal covers denote their Callaway upbringing. Further, a set of threshold panels, floor mats, and a serialized build plaque all hearken back to the Old Lyme-based company and denote each car as a special-edition, breathed upon by the New-England-based power-broker.

You can purchase a B2K 35th Anniversary Edition Callaway Corvette from any Callaway Authorized Chevrolet Dealer. To begin the ordering process, call Callaway at (866) 927-9400 or fill out the form on the bottom of the B2K 35th Anniversary Edition Callaway Corvette page on Callaway’s website. Callaway will then start the process by providing information and answering any of your questions. If you do not have a preferred Callaway Authorized Chevrolet Dealer, Callaway will suggest one in your geographic area.

Each B2K 35th Anniversary Package C8 Corvette comes with a certificate of authenticity and a serialized plaque denoting the car's special pedigree.

Those 35 owners fortunate enough to secure one of these commemorative Corvettes can pick up their Corvettes in several locations. Delivery can be taken at the Callaway factory in either Old Lyme, Connecticut, or Temecula, California. Owners can also opt for the National Corvette Museum’s R8C delivery program so the fine folks at the NCM can hand over the keys to their new C8. Cars can also be delivered to any Chevrolet dealership that is part of the approved Callaway Authorized Chevrolet Dealer network. Or possibly, the most fun option would be to have the car delivered during a Thompson Speedway Club Track Delivery.
