One thing that has always been important to the American muscle car is seating for at least four people. That is why even 45 years after it first debuted, the Chevy Camaro still maintains seating for four, making it a much more practical all-around vehicle. That said, the back seat isn’t exactly comfortable, and worked best if your friends were small, or you don’t much care for their comfort.
Alas, sometimes all that extra room works against the Camaro. Nashville’s News Channel 5 brings us the story of four people who became trapped into their fourth-gen Camaro when it became wedged under a semi-truck on Interstate 40. That had to be scary!
Thankfully, police were able to rescue all four of the trapped occupants, who suffered only minor injuries after their scuffle with the big rig. The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and the names of the injured were not released, leading us to wonder if they might have been minors.
Regardless, it took rescue crews an hour to pull the trapped people out of the wreck, which looked like it should have been a fatal accident. Thankfully, the low-slung Camaro mostly slipped under the semi-truck, and it was this design that probably prevented any worse injuries. Still, if you thought the back seats of a fourth-generation Camaro were cramped, imagine what the two back passengers must have experienced while waiting to be rescued!
