What do you do when you have a red hot product that needs an injection of “giddy up” in the sales department? If you’re Chevrolet, you add a cool new model (the Grand Sport,) and rally your dealer body with enticing incentives. The C7 has been so hot that Chevy just had to turn Bowling Green factory up to “11” and ship the cars.
But as we recently reported, the ‘Vette is experiencing a little sales slump and now is a great time to step up to a new 2-seat Chevy.
According to CarsDirect, starting May 3, GM is offering a Corvette Loyalty Program good for $2,000 toward the purchase of a new 2016 C7. The standard and Z51 versions are eligible for the promotion, but if you want the big kahuna Z06, it’s business as usual.
To be eligible, shoppers must currently own or lease any Corvette. Yes, that means ANY year Corvette, from 1953 to 2015. You don’t even need to trade your car in to get the discount and it can be transferred to people living in the same household.
Additionally, the offer can be combined with college, military and educator discounts. The program offers participants a hassle-free buying experience with invoice pricing plus a small program fee. This month’s loyalty incentive is set to expire May 31.
If you don’t currently own a Corvette, GM is offering a $1,000 “conquest” bonus for anyone with a 1999 or newer non-GM vehicle through May 16th.
Last but not least, Chevy is offering 3.9 percent financing for 60 months on all models, including the Z06.
With the summer selling season upon us, and with Grand Sport, ample inventory and cash incentives in queue, a visit to your Chevy dealer is in order.
