If you haven’t heard of Carlisle, and specifically Corvettes at Carlisle, you must be spending too much time under the hood of some broken-down Ford. Corvettes at Carlisle has been around for almost 50 years, and each year the folks at Carlisle Events create a show that’s bigger and better. For 2026, Corvettes at Carlisle set a new event record!
Storming Pennsylvania this past weekend, August 27th-29th, Corvettes at Carlisle officially welcomed 3,239 registered Corvettes. That beat the old record, set in 2023, by almost 160 cars. Featuring over 3,200 registered cars also put the 2026 Corvettes at Carlisle gathering in the top ten car-specific shows the Carlisle Fairgrounds has hosted since it became an official car show destination way back in 1982.
Naturally, this year’s Corvettes at Carlisle had a big draw because of the Events team’s big attractions. Chevrolet brought a collection of cars and hosted technical walk-arounds, while Pete Callaway discussed 50 years of Callaway Cars and the company’s four decades of involvement with Corvette. Additionally, Corvette specialist Paul Koerner and the Corvette Mechanic team also hosted educational sessions throughout the weekend.
History is always a massive part of the Carlisle experience, and for 2026, a fitting display celebrated 50 years of the 1976 Corvette. The Corvette American Flag brought cars together for a patriotic America 250 tribute. The Chip’s Choice display focused on Corvettes with multigenerational family connections, and the NCRS Gallery and NCCC Judged Concours showcased cars that have been meticulously preserved or meticulously restored.
One extremely cool aspect of this year’s Corvettes at Carlisle was the Grand Sport display. With an estimated value exceeding $40 million, the collection included two of the five original 1963 Grand Sports, chassis 001 and 004, alongside 1996 Grand Sport 001 and a modern C8 Grand Sport.
That said, Corvettes at Carlisle isn’t just some park-and-shine cruise-in. King of the X, presented by Lingenfelter Performance, put drivers to work on the autocross course. An exhaust competition kept the energy high. People’s Choice awards kept spectators engaged. There were even club contests and a new Mr. Corvette competition that let owners dress to match the fun stereotypes that the Corvette community embraces.
As is tradition, the event ended Saturday evening with over 400 Corvettes rolling through downtown Carlisle for the annual Corvette Parade and Street Party. It was an epic celebration of an epic weekend. And rightfully so, since the Corvette community raised more than $35,000 for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation, continuing the Corvettes at Carlisle’s charitable tradition.
With record attendance, rare machinery, competition, history, and plenty of horsepower, Corvettes at Carlisle once again proved why it remains one of the biggest Corvette gatherings anywhere.
