The 1985 model year marks the last year of the second generation Toyota Supra. Better known as the Celica Supra in 1985, this Japanese sports car was based on the roots of the Toyota Celica.

The second generation Celica Supra was available in an array of engine options all over the world, with North America receiving a 2.7-liter DOHC 5M-GE inline-six cylinder engine good for 161 horsepower.

No longer sporting its underpowered inline-six engine, this second-gen Supra now hosts a remanufactured 5.7-liter LS6 V8 engine from GM. The seller says that the engine only has about 3,000 miles since the rebuild, and the ‘new’ engine has been mated to a pair of low-mileage GM 799 cylinder heads. Reportedly, these cylinder heads have even seen their fair-share of Corvette days, which is probably why this LS6 engine is more than happy to cooperate with an upgraded Lingenfelter GT2-3 hydraulic camshaft, COMP Cams hardened pushrods, and a pair of custom-fabricated longtube headers. Apart from the engine, this lightweight two door coupe also boasts some respectable upgrades to the suspension and drivetrain, recruiting components from Whiteline, BC Racing, ARP, Eaton, and more.

Keep in mind, if you’re considering purchasing this LS6 swapped potential beast of a car for yourself, know that the seller has lined out a few potential issues in the ad. The seller explains that, while not major issues, can definitely be worked out with their help.

For an asking price of just $12,000 – would you consider this lightweight LS6 swapped Celica Supra a steal? Check out the ad posted in the Atlanta, Georgia section here.

Fun fact: Second generation Celica Supras did not come with OEM fender flares in the U.S.
