If ever there was a situation that matched the catchphrase “drive it like you stole it” with perfection, this video epitomizes that sentiment. And we mean literally.

Check out this video that’s been floating–literally–around the internet as of late.

Shot in Mexico (?) two gents behind the camera seem to expect a white Corvette C6 coupe to cruise down the road towards them, and continue to film as it crosses to the opposite side of the road and towards a canal bridge in front of them. The left side of the car then ramps up on a concrete border big enough that it serves as a warning to pedestrians, but not enough to impede this idiot. No way, Jose.

This driver takes the barrier like a champ in America’s sportscar at about 25 miles per hour, which rips off the complete front fascia, clips, and left front quarter panel and drags it along. Does the noise of fiberglass scraping along the asphalt and dirt, and possible flat front tire, impede the driver? Hell no!

The Corvette continues to travel at the same rate of speed only to veer to the right side of the road and suddenly disappears over a cliff. The videographers, in hot pursuit of the crash, film it in a ravine with rushing water filling the canal.

In the middle of the canal sits the Corvette, floating and filling with water on a river of denial. Apparently unharmed from this stupidity, the driver slowly makes his way out of the cockpit, onto the roof, then up the steep banking as the men behind the camera are laughing and mocking–presumably asking “what the hell were you thinking?”
