Building a car from the ground up is a beautiful thing. There’s nothing quite like the connection that is built between the driver and the car when every single part has been touched, and you know the vehicle like the back of your hand.

Having someone else build your car and deliver it to you with hundreds of more horsepower well, that’s also a beautiful thing.

Power packages are growing in popularity, and few companies are able to come to this forefront. They offer nine different setups for the sixth-gen ZL1–five with the factory supercharger, two including a ProCharger, and two with a Whipple supercharger.

The five stages offered that retain the factory LT4 supercharger range from an affordable double-digit power gain setup, to a seventeen thousand dollar package that brings along a couple hundred more horsepower.

The first three mainly feature bolt-ons, retaining the daily drivability of a stock car with a little extra power. Stage four and five, on the other hand, are designed to extract the most performance possible on pump gas with the stock supercharger in place. Techs then dive into the valve train to offer CNC ported supercharger and cylinder heads–allowing for more air flow and making that glorious aftermarket cam sound. Methanol and E85, as well as drivetrain and suspension upgrades, can be added on.

Vengeance offers a much larger 2.9L Whipple supercharger, and a handful of centrifugal options from ProCharger–delivering anywhere from 700 to over 1,000 horsepower with supporting mods.

The Whipple creates more power per pound of boost, better intake temperatures, and a much louder sound at wide open throttle. Its power delivery is apparent in the low to mid RPM range, and is said to be proven capable of “9.40 ETs in the quarter mile at over 148mph, while still being able to drive to and from the grocery store on the weekends.” Available in both 8-rib and 10-rib configurations, the wide array of ProChargers are built to handle whatever pulley and boost levels you throw at them. While they slightly decrease torque at low RPMs, they provide a much more linear power band, helping the vehicle keep traction throughout launches providing faster e.t.’s.
