As many of you will remember, this past summer we brought you several stories on the LS3 powered Rally Fighter “open source” off road vehicle built by Local Motors, out of Phoenix, Arizona – one of which involved a Rally Fighter taking on a Mast Motorsports LS7 equipped air-boat on an episode of Top Gear USA.
Well, if you might be so inclined, here is your chance to own the very same Rally Fighter that was featured in that particular episode. We stumbled across the Rally Fighter listed on eBay in an auction that ends Wednesday, October 19th, and priced with a Buy It Now of $85,000 or best offer (It’s a safe bet that the car’s TV stardom factor is playing a bit into the price).
This particular Rally Fighter also features several upgrades to help improve its capabilities as a daily driver, including air conditioning, power windows, and power locks. Other creature comforts include an in-dash iPad holder, a set of Sparco Chrono Road seats, and a full Rockford Fosgate stereo system. Also of note is the fact that the Rally Fighter’s paint job isn’t actually a paint job at all, but rather a wrap done by London fashonista Eley Kishimoto in is signature print pattern (Local motors says that every Rally Fighter is finished with a wrap rather than a traditional paint to minimize negative effects on the environment that paints and solvents can have).
So if you are looking for a unique ride that is capable in rush hour traffic as it is off-roading, you might want to add this LS3 Rally Fighter to your “watch list.”
