Obviously, Paul Walker was known for his starring in the Fast and Furious films, but he is also credited with widely contributing to the automotive community – whether it be with his charity work or through throwing awesome events. This is just another part of his legend that continues to live on. Largely thanks to his brother, Cody, who has done a great job carrying the torch that his brother lit so well.
Most recent is Cody’s partnership with Tyrese Gibson, Fast & Furious star, and Supercar Blondie, an internet famous social media guru and YouTuber known for her reviews of the latest and greatest supercars. With help from Yokohama Tires, they’re throwing an event dubbed “FuelFest” at the Angel’s Stadium in Anahiem, CA this coming weekend.
The event will feature vehicles off all kinds, as well as food, interactive exhibits, music, autocross, vendors, a beer garden, and more. In memory of Paul Walker, the profits will be benefiting his charity, Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW).
Cody explains, “In creating FuelFest, I knew I wanted to create more than just a static car show; I wanted to create an automotive festival that brings together cars, art, music, motorsports and the ability for enthusiasts to meet their favorite on-screen celebrities and personalities.”
He adds, “Yokohama was the title sponsor for ROWW’s ‘In Memory of Paul’ car show last year and it’s great to see their continued support of our show and their charitable donation to ROWW.”
Tickets, priced at $15 each online, for this weekend’s FuelFest are for sale, along with special meet-and-greet lunch packages with the stars. To learn more or purchase tickets ahead of the event, visit their website HERE.
