Everybody likes free stuff, especially when it aides us in the goal of completing our projects. When our projects are high-performance, high-horsepower machines, the list of parts can grow very long and add up quickly. We all know what it feels like to be two-hundred-dollared-to-death when it comes to you unavoidable expenditures in a performance engine build.
While you may normally be fixated on the serious go fast parts like power adders and vital engine subsystems like fuel, cooling, intake and exhaust, it is equally important to make sure you have a performance flywheel and clutch assembly to back up your rotating assembly and ultimately put power to the ground.
Fidanza Performance is quietly conducting a “Flywheel A Month Giveaway” where you could secure one of the key components to your build by just filling out a simple entry form. All you have to do is “Like” the Fidanza Facebook page, fill out the entry form and include a picture (make sure it will be something others will like), share your entry to get more votes, and then if you get voted into the top five you could be selected to receive a free flywheel at the end of the month.
A flywheel is really an energy storage device, it uses its own inertia to maintain engine speed when a load is applied. If you don’t have a flywheel that is properly matched to your engine in terms of mass and diameter (which translates to a moment of inertia) you could end up with an engine package that’s completely undriveable. Check out the entry form and see if your project is worth a free flywheel this month.
