Forgiato first debuted its wide-bodied creations at the SEMA show in 2013, while winning the Design Award for Best Chevrolet Exterior with a Stingray painted in an eye-catching Aston Martin Blue. The success at SEMA has allowed Forgiato to continue turning already amazing vehicles into truly unique automobiles for their owners.
Thanks to our friends at CorvetteBlogger, we have the chance to see this most recent addition in the convertible configuration. Aside from the standard widened body, Forgiato has equipped this particular Stingray with their own 22-inch Lavorato ECL wheels, with barrels and spokes painted in both black and a color matched yellow. These new wheels make good use of the increased fender space, and will surely afford this C7 some enhanced grip.
Other custom features include a carbon-fiber rear spoiler and front splitter paired nicely by a matte black and chrome grille; although it is unclear as to whether these are remanufactured with carbon fiber, or a wrap of the factory original parts. Another Forgiato modification to the GM factory equipment includes the smoked taillights accented by the blacked out Corvette emblem, adding to the sinister look of this Stingray.
Similar wide-body Forgiato Corvettes have been offered up for sale ranging between $150,000 to $165,000. While it is unknown as to what this car sold for, we would assume this car was built for a specific customer in mind. Considering the color and wheel options shown here, it may otherwise limit potential buyers, but we all have a different idea of what Corvette perfection ultimately is.
