Since Chevrolet came out with the new SS, performance enthusiasts have been finding ways to get even more power than the 415 stock horsepower from the LS3 platform. One of these ways comes from some of the biggest performance enthusiasts on the planet- the folks over at Hennessey Performance Engineering.
While plenty of SS upgrade options are available through Hennessey, one already prepared 2014 SS HPE600 package recently came up for sale on eBay, giving you the chance of a lifetime to score one of these hot commodities for a pretty decent price. Hat tip to GM Authority for bringing this to our attention.
The Hennessey Performance upgrades available for the Chevy SS range from an added 60 horsepower all the way up to a 1,000 horse twin-turbocharged option, offering plenty of choices when it comes to getting the right amount of power for you.
Sitting right in the middle of the upgrade field is the supercharged HPE600 version, a package that consists of a TVS2300 supercharger system, HPE air induction system, custom HPE pulley, high-flow fuel injectors, 160 degree thermostat, HPE Engine Management Calibration, dyno tuning and road testing, and of course, the necessary Hennessey Performance badging.
The particular Chevy SS HPE600 available on eBay as we speak is being offered by Hennessey, leading us to believe it was some sort of demonstration vehicle. With just 4,500 miles on it, this bad little Chevy certainly has a lot of life left in it and with a Buy It Now price of just $54,950, someone is bound to get one heck of a deal. After all, your base 2014 Chevy SS starts at $43,475.
In addition to the Hennessey upgrades, this Chevy SS comes with an automatic transmission, black exterior and matching black leather interior. The vehicle also has an existing warranty.
At the time of publishing, the eBay listing had ended with no buyer and only one offer, apparently short of what HPE would accept. If you’re interested, hit them up and you just might still be able to work a deal…
