Have you ever bought a ticket for a chance to win something and then wondered who, if anyone, actually wins these things? Well, we’re here to tell you that indeed, so far as the 2019 Z06 coupe raffled off by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is concerned, there IS a winner.
The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is the only museum in the world solely dedicated to sprint car racing. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum’s Z06 Corvette drawing is a fundraiser to support the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Knoxville, Iowa. The museum is dedicated to promoting the future of sprint car racing and preserving the sport’s history.
Josh Roberts from Union City, Indiana is likely finding room in his garage for this red Z06 on those rare moments when he isn’t driving it. His winning ticket, number 36279, was picked back on the tenth of August. Josh has the option of either driving the Z06 home or taking the $75,000 payout. A tough call, considering that the new C8 pricing puts it just a hamburger bill below $60,000. Decisions, decisions…
While helping out a good cause is always the right thing to do, sometimes we can’t help but wonder where items such as this Z06 eventually wind up. In this case, we’re happy to congratulate Josh on his new ride and, if we’re honest, we’re a little envious. Who wouldn’t be? Getting handed the keys to a 650 horsepower Z06 and your name is on the registration? Sign me up! But, of course, you need to participate to win. We’ll be Josh is glad he did!
