If you thought you had seen the last of the Transformers products for the fifth generation Camaro , you’d be wrong. Two new licensed Transformers gas doors have just been release for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Camaro. While this doesn’t sound like breaking news, this is the first licensed product that has been released for the Camaro since GM came out with the Transformers Package in 2009. Thanks to the Transformer World forum for bringing us this tidbit of information.
The gas doors are made out of billet aluminum and offer a locking device to make sure that your gas stays safe. The doors are being offered with two different images on them – the Transformers logo and the Autobot symbol. These two Camaro gas doors join a number of new Transformers items to hit auto parts stores. Other items include Autobot and Decepticon hitch covers, Transformers door sills and some non-locking gas doors for other vehicle models.
The release of these products comes just in time for the debut of the third Transformers movie, Dark of the Moon. The movie is set to release in theaters on July 1, 2011. With more licensed junk collectible goods being produced and the next Transformers movie coming out soon, we can only hope that we’ll see another Bumblebee package released for Chevrolet. Whether you got into the whole Transformers craze or not, the possibility of a Bumblebee package being released for the ZR1 is exciting. If one is released, we just hope it’s worth the wait.
