The Chevrolet S10 is a popular vehicle for enthusiasts that want an LS-swapped vehicle. Why? Because the trucks are super lightweight, simple to work on, and easy to find. Plus, they have extensive aftermarket LS-swap support. However, since the S10 is so popular, it can be a little hard to stand out in a crowd.

Barry Cook owns a beautiful metallic orange Chevrolet S10 that is an exception to the mass of trucks out there, and it was a real head-turner at the 2019 Holley LS fest. This stunning S10 is packing a fully forged 370ci LS with a set of the legendary Trick Flow 235 heads combined with twin-turbos capable of making 1,100 horsepower to the tire with 24 pounds of boost. The truck is equipped with Santhuff shocks, which has helped the S10 to run a blistering time of 8.28-seconds at 163 mph in the quarter-mile at LS Fest. Barry also hit the rollers at the dyno challenge and won First Place in the power-adder division, making 989 horsepower to the wheels of the S10.
Barry’s goals with the S10 are to break into the 7’s in the quarter-mile. With an additional 10 to 15 pounds of boost on stand by, the truck will be very close to reaching that goal. Barry is dead-set on driving the S10 to a track, run a 7.80 or better, and then drive home. Because honestly, who doesn’t want a 7-second street car or truck?
