The C8 Corvette continues to impress in virtually every option and arena, and Tomball Texas’ Peitz Performance Tunes just became the latest speed shop to take the platform to the next level. In fact Peitz, just proved that there are fast C8s, and then there are legendary C8s.

That’s because Peitz has officially reset the bar for the C8 Z06 platform with its Bravo Plus Twin Turbo build, laying down a jaw-dropping 1,185 rear-wheel horsepower and 793 lb-ft of torque on a Dynojet at the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology (SAM Tech). No fairy dust. Those are real numbers that make their Z06, as it sits, the highest-horsepower C8 Z06 in the world!

The flat-plane crank LT6 was already one of the most exotic engines ever bolted into an American production car. High-revving, naturally aspirated, and razor sharp from the factory. But Alex Peitz saw boost in its future from day one. Development on the Bravo Plus Twin Turbo system began when the Z06 was first introduced, and things really came together once HP Tuners unlocked the E68 ECM.

Alex worked directly with HP Tuners during the pre-release unlock process, providing real-world tuning feedback to help validate the platform. With the ECM open, boost could safely be increased to 15 psi on the stock LT6. The result was obviously impressive.

The Bravo Plus kit uses Precision Next Gen 64/66 mirror-image turbochargers, fed by 93-octane pump gas and supported by a Pro Meth direct-port methanol injection system. An HP Tuners MPVI4 handles calibration duties, while a Cortex Boost/Meth controller allows boost by gear. A Peitz Performance Clutch Pressure Controller and Dodson Motorsport Sportsman clutches keep the DCT alive under the added torque load. The best part? The car still drives like a Corvette.

For customers not ready to chase four-digit wheel horsepower, Peitz offers a Bravo Lite 93-octane package good for up to 250 extra horsepower. Naturally aspirated fans aren’t left out either, with intake, E85, and tuning combos showing gains of 44 hp and 44 lb-ft.

The C8 Z06 isn’t just a high-revving screamer anymore. With the right hardware, the right calibration, and the right team behind it, it’s a twin-turbo world record holder. It seems obvious that the platform’s power ceiling is still nowhere in sight.
