Being the UFC Heavyweight Champion of the World definitely has its perks, as the current title holder, Cain Velasquez recently found out. The undefeated World Champ was recently given a brand-spankin’-new 2012 Camaro 2SS by one of his sponsors, Del Grande Auto Group, as captured in this YouTube video. Velasquez defeated Brock Lesner on October 23 to become the UFC Heavyweight Champ, and since this video was uploaded on the 24th, we are betting that the car was given as a congratulatory gift.

The president of the Del Grande Auto Group, Shaun Del Grande, was waiting outside of the AKA Gym, in San Jose, California, with a gaggle of media in tow, when Velasquez came out after his morning workout. After a short conversation, Del Grande pointed out a black 2012 Camaro 2SS sitting in the parking lot, and simply handed over the keys to the champ, with a big hand shake and a slap on the back. Velasquez was visibly surprised and clearly very happy about his new ride (understandably so).

During a test drive of the SS, Velasquez tells the camera, “It feels good. It’s got a lot of power, and it handles, really, really good.” When a passenger asks the champ if he’s happy about the car, he replies, “I’m definitely happy. It was a good surprise.” And with a big smile, he says, “I wasn’t expecting this today, definitely not.”

Velasquez will reportedly be defending his new title as soon as this November.
