The IS300 is, and always will be one of the best cars that Lexus ever produced, in our opinion. Come on, it’s basically a four-door Supra, minus two turbochargers. It has a timeless look, and a great aftermarket following. What’s not to love?
There are those out there who love the factory 2JZ-GE engine, and some love to build IS300s their own way, with a different choice of heart. Purists, we understand you, appreciate you, and agree in some cases, but this LS3-swapped IS300 for sale in Atlanta, Georgia is just awesome on all levels. The LS3 that was swapped in has 50,000 miles on the bottom end, but the heads were replaced with some new units upon dropping it in, and there is less than 15,000 miles on the swap since completion.
For those of you that think you’ve seen this car before, chances are you probably have. This car was used as a development vehicle for Dedicated Motorsports, and was built by Matt Owen, the owner and builder of this insane LS-powered IS300. Back in 2011, this car in particular had an LS1, but was benched due to the LS3 that was swapped in. If you’re thinking this IS300 only has motor work done, then there’s a lot more than meets the eye.
The car rides on KW Variant 3 coilovers, Hotchkis sway bars, FIGS traction bars, tow links, and solid steering rack bushings, ASA AR1 wheels, and much more. This car has been maintained with care, and it shows. The paint is great, the interior is almost like new, and everything just works. There is so much going on with this car that we can’t even list half of what’s been done to it. Check out the for sale thread on NoRotors for the full mod list.
For $22,000, this car is, to us, a great deal; Even the air conditioning works! If you want an awesome IS300, look no further!
