Ultimate Headers’ Pipes Take This C10 To A Whole New Level

Ultimate Headers’ motto is “big tubes for tight places”, an apt description of what they do and yet it fails to convey exactly how well they do that. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and if that’s true, this video from YouTube user C10CJ is priceless.

In the video we get up close and personal with Ultimate Headers’ work and we have to say it looks fantastic. C10CJ is currently in the process of taking his C10 to the next level by turning it into a Pro-touring beast. Naturally, the first order of business was to get an LS under the hood.

The truck is sitting on a chassis from the guys over at No Limit and the LS has been set back further in the chassis to allow for optimized weight distribution for when he’s putting the truck through its paces. Even still with the semi-custom frame and engine mounting position, the headers fit like a glove and easily clear all of the frame’s main components—not just by chance mind you.

The headers themselves are constructed from 321 stainless steel and feature cast elbows straight off the header flange which allow for tighter radiuses than tradition bent stainless all while keeping exhaust flow optimized. 321 stainless differs from 304 and 416 stainless due to the fact that it uses Titanium as a stabilizer, this allows it to offer excellent resistance to corrosion in high-heat applications—such as exhaust components. It’s also substantially more resistant to corrosion in any situation.

As you can see here, Ultimate Headers uses a propriety flange, cast from 321 stainless as well. These pipes have a black ceramic coating as well to increase the tubes thermal retention properties, but are available in ceramic silver, mirror polished, satin, and mill as well. Scientific mumbo jumbo aside, they are a fantastic looking set of headers for a build that is well on it’s way to being immaculate. The headers feature 1-7/8-inch primaries and 3-inch collectors.

So, if you’re building something custom and are looking for a set of headers, hit up the guys at Ultimate Headers.
